About the Home: The owners of this Lochmere home needed more space and a functional area to host friends and family. They were tired of trying to entertain in the small, closed off kitchen, but they loved their existing house, yard and location and didn’t want to move.
Solutions: After consulting with TrendMark, they decided to expand their kitchen, add a breakfast area and a large outdoor entertaining area to the back of their home. Now, instead of a small, confined and outdated kitchen, they have an open floor plan to enjoy, with a breakfast area featuring a beautiful cathedral ceiling. Large
windows and recessed can lights brighten the room and showcase the new, large deck complete with wrought iron railings. The wall separating the family room and kitchen was also removed, giving the homeowners the perfect place for family gatherings and entertaining guests.
This tour is sponsored by the Remodelers™ Council of the Home Builders Association of Raleigh-Wake County as a way to showcase how renovations can transform living space by blending old and new for the optimum in aesthetics and function. We look forward to seeing you during the tour.
