From blah to beautiful, this kitchen’s transformation not only updated the look but rearranged the way the room functioned. The homeowner knew from the day they bought the house that the all white kitchen would have to be remodeled. In the process, the workspace was improved. Warm Alderwood cabinets with raised panel fronts and bronze hardware replaced the sterile white cabinetry. Countertops of Santa Cecilia granite with its veins of black, gold, green and cream and its elegant beveled edge warm the room’s ambiance. Livingston travertine gold tiles fill the backsplash area with aged iron accents. Stainless double wall ovens replace the former single white wall oven, and a new larger stainless refrigerator offers more food storage. The stainless undermounted sink is topped by an Aberdeen high arc, pull–down faucet in an oil rubbed bronze finish, delivering a rich, dark brown, old world finish. Mini-pendant bronze chandeliers hover over the island. This room has certainly banished the blahs and become elegant as well as more useful.
